PETER RUNDQUIST

Peter Rundquist is a composer, sound designer, and film mixer who has collaborated on a diverse range of projects, including movies, television shows, and experimental music. A former Wall Street analyst turned sonic storyteller, he creates original scores and soundscapes for prominent networks and platforms such as PBS, Disney, ESPN, BBC, and Nickelodeon.
Rundquist has worked on several notable projects, including the Emmy and Peabody Award-winning Frontline series Confronting ISIS, PBS’s American Experience feature The Great War, and the Sundance Award-winning documentary Buck. His sound design and final mix work encompasses a wide spectrum of genres, from documentaries to narratives, ensuring that each project delivers an immersive experience.
As a member of the instrumental group Zoar, Rundquist has released several albums on Point Music, the Philip Glass label. His unique approach combines classical, ambient, and experimental music. Additionally, he has curated a collection of blues field recordings titled Straight From The Delta and has collaborated with renowned artists such as DJ A-Trak, Corey Harris, Taj Mahal, Dr. John, and B.B. King.
A multi-instrumentalist and lifelong enthusiast of folk and roots traditions, Rundquist often incorporates exotic stringed instruments and distinctive tunings into his compositions. He can also be spotted chasing trout or hiking in the Gallatin range, seeking inspiration.
